what is life without both your arms & limbs?

After watching a video showed by my church during service I couldn't help but teared. It was SO SO SO SAD. How can a man born without any limbs and arms be able to live so happily? He's middle aged & yet he's able to play golf, swim, etc. Despite being so self pity and indulged in his own brokenness, he stayed strong throughout his life. He told himself that he is able to make it through.
At the age of 8, he wanted to commit suicide. I mean come on, anyone put in that situation would want to commit suicide. But THIS MAN stayed SO STRONG! He wanted to do so much for God and those people out there who felt like they were so unfortunate. But who is? compared to him? He wasn't even given a chance to walk on both legs nor a chance to use his own arms to actually take something. I really admire his strength and optimism.
True enough people with no limbs or arms are pitiful enough. Yet Nick without both is able to do so much.
How about people like us who are born normally? Shouldn't we treasure ourselves & our loved ones? Aren't we given a better opportunity to lead a better life? But why are there some people who hated themselves or their lives so much that they wanted to commit suicide? I feel sorry for them because they could not see their purpose in life.
It so happened that I came across a blog linked from my friend who blogged about this great man Nick Vujicic. Ain't he awesome to be able to spread his convictions and his life across the continents??
